Connecting Seniors • Building Community • Enriching Lives

Welcome to the Allie Bankston Edwards Center for Seniors, home to the Pike County Senior Center. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for adults 60 years of age and older, as well as disabled and handicapped citizens in our community.

Our center provides a safe, welcoming place where seniors can enjoy nutritious meals, participate in activities, build friendships, stay active, and connect with valuable community resources.

WHAT WE OFFER

Congregate Meals
We provide nutritious meals to seniors through our Congregate Meal Program, giving seniors an opportunity to enjoy lunch while spending time with friends and fellow members.

Home-Delivered Meals
Our Home-Delivered Meal Program helps eligible seniors who are unable to regularly leave their homes receive nutritious meals and maintain a connection with the senior center and community.

To get started with Home-Delivered Meals, please contact Three Rivers Area Agency on Aging at 1-866-854-5652. Three Rivers Area Agency on Aging will provide information about eligibility and the steps needed to begin the Home-Delivered Meal process.

Exercise & Wellness
We encourage healthy and active lifestyles through exercise and wellness activities, including chair exercise and other programs designed to promote movement, strength, balance, and overall well-being.

Arts, Crafts & Activities
Our seniors enjoy a variety of creative and recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, bingo, movies, music, special programs, and fellowship.

Transportation & Quality-of-Life Trips
We provide opportunities for seniors to participate in recreational, educational, cultural, and social outings. Our trips give seniors opportunities to explore new places, make memories, and enjoy fellowship outside the center.

Socialization & Fellowship
Staying socially connected is an important part of healthy aging. The center provides opportunities for seniors to meet new people, spend time with friends, celebrate special occasions, and enjoy meaningful fellowship.

Educational & Community Programs
We welcome community organizations, guest speakers, churches, businesses, and professionals who provide information and programs that benefit our seniors.

Special Events
Throughout the year, we host holiday celebrations, special events, senior activities, community gatherings, and other programs that bring our members together.
